Itinerary

  • Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi N’Tichka – Ouarzazate – Tagdilt (1650m)

    Depart early from Marrakech, traveling through the dramatic Tizi N’Tichka pass with stops to admire stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains. Continue to Ouarzazate and explore the Dades Valley, famous for its thousand kasbahs. Arrive at the village of Tagdilt, located on a desert plateau, where you’ll stay overnight in a local homestay. (Approx. 6 hours by road)

  • Day 2: Tagdilt – Tizi N’Iferd (2400m) – Plateau Irefd N’Ouarg (2250m)

    Begin your trek with the mules carrying supplies, crossing a vast plateau before ascending to the Tizi N’Iferd pass at 2400m. Enjoy panoramic views of the central High Atlas range. Descend to the Iferd plateau, where semi-nomadic Ait Atta families often pass through. Camp overnight on the plateau under the stars. (5h30 trekking)

  • Day 3: Iferd N’Ouarg – Kouaouch Summit (2600m) – Igli (1700m)

    Trek to the summit of Kouaouch, the highest peak in the Saghro range, at 2600m. The climb is non-technical but offers spectacular views from the top, where a picnic awaits. Descend to Tassegdilt and continue to Igli, a picturesque valley where you’ll camp overnight. (5h30 trekking)

  • Day 4: Igli – Afourar Gorge – Bab N’Ali – Ighazoun Oasis

    Descend through the scenic Afourar Valley, which narrows into dramatic gorges. Pass through the lush Bouallouz oasis and arrive at Ousdidene. Trek toward the famous twin rock formations of Bab N’Ali before continuing to the tranquil Ighazoun oasis. Overnight camping amidst palm trees and serene landscapes. (5h trekking)

  • Day 5: Ighazoun Oasis – Tifdassine – Handour Village

    Start the day with a hike to the small Tifdassine pass. Descend through the idyllic Tifdassine Valley, where you’ll enjoy a picnic under almond trees. Continue trekking to the village of Handour, where you’ll stay overnight in a local home, experiencing authentic Berber hospitality. (5h trekking)
